The three big families. Bordeaux blends Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot and usually wants a few years in bottle. Burgundy is Pinot Noir on its own and drinks lighter. The Rhône is Syrah in the north and Grenache-led blends in the south, generally the warmest and most immediate of the three. Beaujolais, the Loire and the south-west fill in below them. Filter by region or price to cut this down.
