Meursault is the village most people think of first when they picture richer white Burgundy, and this is a village-level Chardonnay from the Les Charrons plot. The 2022 is young, so it's still showing its fresher side.

Chill it lightly rather than ice-cold, otherwise you lose the texture that makes Meursault worth the money. Works with roast chicken, lobster or creamy sauces, and a bottle of white Burgundy is one of the safer gift choices when you know the person drinks wine.

Tasting notes

Meursault Chardonnay usually leans towards ripe citrus and orchard fruit with a hazelnut, buttery edge from barrel ageing, and typically has more weight on the palate than the neighbouring villages. Young bottles often need air.
