Collection: Burgundy

Burgundy, delivered in Hong Kong. Pinot Noir for the reds, Chardonnay for the whites, and a map that rewards reading the label carefully.

How to read a Burgundy label. The wider the name, the simpler the wine: Bourgogne covers the whole region, then a village (Meursault, Chablis, Chambolle-Musigny), then Premier Cru, then Grand Cru at the top. Price climbs the same way. A good village wine from a reliable producer usually drinks better than a stretched Premier Cru from an unknown one.

On our list. Bouchard Père & Fils and Louis Latour across Bourgogne, Chablis, Meursault, Beaune and Pouilly-Fuissé; Faiveley for the Premier and Grand Cru bottles.

Starting out? A Chablis or a Bourgogne Chardonnay from a serious house tells you what the region does, without the Grand Cru price.
