Vacqueyras 2019, Xavier Vignon (1x75cl)

Vacqueyras sits in the Southern Rhône next to the better known Châteauneuf villages, and the reds here are usually a blend led by Grenache with Syrah and Mourvèdre. Warm, generous, herby — the style people mean when they say southern French red.

Good with lamb, sausages, braised dishes, or a cheese plate after dinner. Also a reliable table wine for a bigger group because it doesn't demand much attention.
