Tormaresca Pietra Bianca Castel del Monte DOC 2019 (1x75cl)

A white from Castel del Monte DOC in Puglia, right down in southern Italy. Southern whites usually come out riper and rounder than northern ones because of the heat, but the hillside sites here tend to keep some freshness in the glass.

Easy match for grilled prawns, fried seafood, or a plate of pasta with olive oil and garlic. Chill it well and it also does fine as the white you open before dinner starts.

Tasting notes

Whites from this part of Puglia typically show ripe citrus and stone fruit with a light herbal note, dry on the finish, with a warmer, softer texture than cool climate Italian whites.
