Rias Baixas sits in Galicia in north-west Spain, right on the Atlantic, and its whites are built on Albariño. That coastal position is why the region's wines are usually crisp and saline, and why they end up next to seafood so often. O Rosal is the sub-zone printed on this label.

Worth flagging: with a 2017 vintage, this is an older example of a style most people drink young. Bottle age changes the character of an Atlantic white, so treat it as a different proposition from a fresh current-release bottle rather than the same wine with more years on it. Interesting to open alongside a young one if you want to see the difference.
