Serafin Pere et Fils, Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Le Fonteny 2019 (1x75cl)

Lovely mid purple, the nose is intense, clean and pure. Brilliant rich fruit from the very start, with its usual coating of oak, but this is complete, powerful and fine, with the weight of a wine where the clay is a little more in evidence than the limestone. It certainly offers an extra degree of body compared to the lighter yet elegant Corbeaux.
