Ruinart Blanc de Blancs NV (1x75cl)

Ruinart is the oldest established champagne house, founded in Reims in 1729. Blanc de Blancs is its signature: 100% Chardonnay, no other grape.

What that means in the glass. Chardonnay-only champagne is lighter and more precise than a blend built on Pinot Noir. It is the style to open before dinner rather than alongside a heavy main.

When to drink it. Serve well chilled, around 8–10°C. Good on its own, and a natural match for oysters, sashimi, steamed fish and dim sum — which is part of why it sells the way it does in Hong Kong.

Is it worth it? This is our best-selling champagne by a distance. The bottle is recognisable, which matters if you are giving it rather than drinking it.
