Roux Pere & Fils Saint-Aubin L Ebaupin 2022 (1x75cl)

Saint-Aubin sits just up the hill from Chassagne and Puligny in the Côte de Beaune, which is why people who drink a lot of white Burgundy keep an eye on it. This is a village-level Chardonnay from the L'Ébaupin plot, from the young 2022 vintage.

Chill it, but not to the point where it goes mute. It's an easy match for steamed fish, prawns or roast chicken, and a solid house white to keep a couple of bottles of for when people come over.

Tasting notes

Saint-Aubin Chardonnay usually shows citrus and white orchard fruit with a crisp, mineral finish, and village whites at this age typically taste fresh and fairly direct rather than broad. A short time in the glass usually helps.
