Renato Ratti Barolo Conca 2018 (1x75cl)

Barolo is always Nebbiolo, and Nebbiolo is a firm, tannic grape that does not hand everything over on the first sip. Conca is a single vineyard, so the wine comes from one defined site rather than a blend across the region.

Give it air. An hour or two in a decanter usually makes a real difference. Best with something rich on the table, and a serious enough bottle to bring to a dinner where the host cares.

Tasting notes

Barolo typically shows rose, red cherry, tar and dried herb, with high acidity and grippy tannins that soften with air. Decant ahead of time and serve around 16-18°C.
