Pont des Arts Zao Wou-Ki Grand Vin De Bourgogne Meursault 2011 (1x75cl)

Meursault sits in the Cote de Beaune and makes white Burgundy from Chardonnay. It is usually the richer, rounder end of the Burgundy white spectrum rather than the lean, steely style. This one carries the Pont des Arts label bearing artwork by Zao Wou-Ki.

With this much bottle age, a white Burgundy has had time to settle, and bottles of this era can vary from one to the next. It is the sort of thing you bring to a dinner where someone will actually notice.

Tasting notes

Aged Meursault typically leans towards hazelnut, baked apple and butter, with a broad texture and a savoury finish. Serve around 12°C, not ice cold, and give it time in the glass.
