"Petit chateau" simply means the small, family-run end of Bordeaux: regional-level wines made in modest quantities and priced to be opened on an ordinary weeknight. That is the point of them, not a shortcoming — most Bordeaux drunk in France is exactly this kind of bottle.

The 2022 is young, so drink it now rather than putting it away. Steak, pork chops, a bowl of beef noodles, or a Tuesday dinner where you just want a glass of red.
