Le Petit Ducru comes from Château Ducru-Beaucaillou, a Second Growth of Saint-Julien and one of the most consistently admired estates in Bordeaux — its main label trades near First Growth prices.

Why 2018. A hot, dry year that gave deeply coloured, ripe wines with real structure. On an entry label that means more weight and a longer finish than usual — closer in feel to a serious Saint-Julien.

2018 or 2019? 2018 is riper and more powerful. 2019 is more balanced and the better-rated vintage overall.
