Jean-Michel Guillon, Gevrey Chambertin 1er Cru Les Champeaux 2019 (1x75cl)

The expressive and ripe nose also evidences a hint of anise on the equally airy and slightly cooler aromas of red and dark currant laced with plenty of sauvage character. The mouthfeel is interesting in that there is an almost tenderness to the dense mid-palate of the middle weight plus flavors that flash a bracing minerality on the beautifully complex and persistent finale. This is at once serious and muscular and should age accordingly.
