Highland Park 15 Years Old Viking Heart Single Malt Whisky (Ceramic Bottle) (1x70cl)

Highland Park sits on Orkney and is the northernmost Scotch distillery. Their malts are usually only lightly peated, so you get a whisper of smoke rather than the full Islay wall — a good middle ground if one person at the table likes peat and another does not.

This is the 15 Year Old Viking Heart release, and it comes in a ceramic bottle. That matters for gifting: a ceramic bottle actually displays well on a shelf or a desk long after the whisky is finished, which is more than you can say for most boxes.

Tasting notes

Highland Park at this age usually shows honey, orchard fruit and a heather-like sweetness with light smoke running underneath. Drink it neat first, then add a few drops of water — lightly peated malts usually open up rather than thin out.
