A Kentucky bourbon from Heaven Hill. By law bourbon must be at least 51% corn and aged in new charred oak barrels, which is where that sweet vanilla and caramel character usually comes from. This is the straightforward end of the category rather than a collector's bottle.

Which makes it a sensible house bottle: highballs with soda, an Old Fashioned at home, or something to keep in the cabinet for whoever drops by. Ice, a splash of water, or neat, all fine. Tasting notes

Bourbon typically shows vanilla, caramel, corn sweetness and toasted oak, often with a little baking spice on the finish. New charred oak usually drives most of that character.
