Glendronach 18 years old distilled in 1976 with box (1x70cl)

A Highland single malt distilled in 1976 and aged 18 years, so it went into glass around 1994. Worth separating the two numbers: the whisky is 18 years old, but the bottle itself is roughly thirty. Whisky does not keep ageing once it leaves the cask, so those extra decades in glass are not extra maturation.

What they do affect is the bottle. Fill level and seal vary on anything this old, and we cannot promise condition. The box is included, which matters if you are buying it as a collector's piece or a milestone gift.

Tasting notes

Older-style Highland malts usually lean towards orchard fruit, dried fruit and soft oak spice, with a rounded, mellow finish. Individual old bottles vary.
