Fixin sits at the northern end of the Côte de Nuits, a village that stays under the radar next to its famous neighbours — which is generally where the value in Burgundy hides. Clos de la Perrière is a monopole, meaning the whole premier cru vineyard belongs to one family, so every bottle comes from that single walled plot.
