Delas Vin de Pays Viognier Blanc 2023 (1x75cl)

Vin de Pays is France's country-wine tier. It is a broader category than an AOP, which means the rules on where the fruit can come from are looser, and bottles at this level are usually made to be drunk soon rather than kept.

Viognier is the grape here, and it is one of the more aromatic whites around. This is the easy-going end of it: a white you open on a weekday without thinking too hard about it, or bring along when the food is spicy and a sharp white would fight with it.

Tasting notes

Viognier usually leans aromatic and fuller-bodied rather than crisp, with stone-fruit and floral character. Typically works with Thai food, roast pork, or anything with a bit of sweetness in the sauce.
