Chateau Rieussec 2015 (1x75cl)

Sweet Sauternes from 2015, Semillon-led and made from grapes affected by noble rot. Sweet wine is an easy gift because almost nobody buys it for themselves, and it fits neatly into a Mid-Autumn or year-end hamper.

Serve it properly chilled in small pours, with blue cheese, foie gras, mango pudding or just on its own after dinner. An opened bottle usually keeps well in the fridge for a few days.

Tasting notes

Botrytis Sauternes usually shows apricot, honey, candied citrus and marmalade, typically with enough acidity to keep the sweetness from feeling heavy.
