Chateau Palmer, Margaux 2012 (1x75cl)

Palmer is one of the Margaux names Hong Kong collectors recognise without needing an explanation, and that's most of the reason it ends up on gift lists. The 2012 has had over a decade in bottle.

Save it for something - a milestone dinner, a client you actually want to impress, a Mid-Autumn table with people who'll notice. Decant it a couple of hours ahead and don't rush the first glass.

Tasting notes

Margaux blends usually combine Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, and Palmer's style typically carries a higher share of Merlot than most of the commune. Expect the region to show dark berry, violet and cedar with fine tannins; at this age the fruit has generally started shading toward dried fruit and spice.
