Chateau Lascombes 2015 (1x75cl)

Château Lascombes is a Second Growth of Margaux — classified in 1855 and still one of the largest estates in the appellation.

What Margaux means. Of the Left Bank communes, Margaux is the one people describe as the most perfumed and least austere. Cabernet Sauvignon leads the blend, with Merlot filling it out.

When to drink it. A 2015 Second Growth is approachable now with food but has years ahead of it. Decant an hour before serving. Red meat, roast duck, aged cheese.

Is it worth it? A classified Bordeaux estate under HK$500 is unusual. If you want the same house at a lower price, look at Chevalier de Lascombes, the estate's second wine.
