Chateau Lascombes 2010 (1x75cl)

Château Lascombes is a Second Growth of Margaux, classified in 1855 and one of the largest estates in the appellation.

Why 2010 matters. 2010 is one of the two great Bordeaux vintages of the last twenty years — a dry, sunny year that produced wines with unusually high concentration and firm structure. These are the bottles built to last, and 2010 Left Bank reds are still only entering their window now.

When to drink it. Drinkable now but decant a full ninety minutes — 2010 tannins are still tight. Better still, hold it. Red meat, game, aged hard cheese.
