Chateau la Fleur de Bouard 2015 (1x75cl)

Lalande-de-Pomerol is the district just north of Pomerol on the right bank, and the Merlot-led reds from here usually give you that plush, rounded Bordeaux character without asking you to wait forever. The 2015 has had close to a decade in bottle, which is a comfortable place to be drinking it.

Nice house red to keep for when friends drop by, and easy enough to hand over as a gift without much explanation. Free delivery in Hong Kong over HK$800, flat HK$80 below that, no minimum order.

Tasting notes

Merlot-led right bank Bordeaux typically shows ripe plum, black cherry and blackberry, with cocoa and vanilla from oak and soft, rounded tannins. A few years in bottle usually adds a little dried fruit and earth. Open thirty minutes ahead and serve around 17°C.
