Chateau Kirwan 2019 is a Margaux Third Growth (1855). The official estate 2019 vintage page gives a Grand Vin blend of 59% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc, 6% Petit Verdot and 1% Carménère. The season was calm into mid-June, then a dry hot summer with July often above 30°C (peak 41°C); August moderated for optimal ripening, with clay-gravel water reserves supporting the vines through heat.
