Chateau Kirwan 2006 (1x75cl)

Margaux is the part of Bordeaux people describe as softer and more perfumed, and this 2006 has had nearly twenty years in the bottle to settle down. That's the kind of wine you open when dinner is going to take three hours anyway.

A good one to bring to a friend's place or hand over as a client gift around Mid-Autumn, when a bit of bottle age says more than a big label. Older bottles can vary from one to the next, so stand it up a day ahead and decant if you can. Free delivery in Hong Kong over HK$800, flat HK$80 below that, no minimum order.

Aged Margaux typically leans towards dried red fruit, violets and cedar, with tannins that have usually softened into something rounder rather than grippy.
