Chateau Gruaud Larose, St. Julien 2017 (1x75cl)

A Saint-Julien red from 2017, the kind of Bordeaux you open when dinner matters a bit more than usual. St. Julien sits in the middle of the Medoc and its wines usually land between firm and friendly, so it works with roast beef, lamb chops, or a slow Sunday at home.

Still on the young side, so give it an hour in a decanter if you can. Easy pick for a client gift or a dinner you were invited to and don't want to show up empty-handed.

Tasting notes

Cabernet-led Bordeaux from this area typically shows blackcurrant and dark plum, a bit of cedar and pencil lead from barrel ageing, and tannins that firm up on the finish. Best around 16-18C.
