Saint-Julien sits right in the middle of Bordeaux's left bank, and the reds from here are usually the ones people reach for when they want something classic without it being loud. This 2011 has had over ten years in bottle already, so it is at the stage where you can open it for a proper dinner rather than putting it away for another decade.
Good pick for a steak night at home, or as a client gift when you want the label to speak for itself. We deliver free anywhere in Hong Kong over HK$800, flat HK$80 below that, no minimum order.
Tasting notes
Cabernet Sauvignon-led Bordeaux from Saint-Julien typically shows blackcurrant and dark plum with cedar and pencil-shaving notes from oak, and with bottle age you usually get a savoury, earthy edge coming through. Tannins are normally firm but polished. Decant an hour before pouring and serve around 17°C.
