Chateau Gazin 2013 (1x75cl)

Gazin is a well-regarded Pomerol estate, Merlot-led like most of the appellation. 2013 was a cooler, more difficult Bordeaux vintage, so this is one for drinking now rather than holding.

Pomerol doesn't use the 1855 classification system, so reputation here rests on the estate's own track record rather than a fixed rank.

Tasting notes

Pomerol reds are usually Merlot-dominant, giving plum and dark cherry fruit with a plush, rounder texture than Left Bank Cabernet-based wines. A cooler vintage like 2013 tends to show lighter body.
