Castello Banfi is a well-known producer in Montalcino, Tuscany, and Poggio alle Mura is one of their vineyard sites. Brunello di Montalcino is made from Sangiovese and requires extended ageing before release. This 1998 vintage, in a 1.5L magnum, has now had over two decades in bottle.

A statement bottle for a milestone gift or a big family celebration — magnums also tend to age more gracefully, so this is a good one to bring out for something that matters.
