Carmes De Rieussec 2011 (1x75cl)

Carmes de Rieussec is the second wine of Château Rieussec, made in the same Sauternes corner of Bordeaux where botrytis-affected grapes usually give rich, honeyed sweet wines.

A small pour goes a long way – nice at the end of a dinner, alongside dessert, or as a distinctive gift for someone who already has enough red wine at home.

Tasting notes

Expect notes of honey, apricot and candied citrus peel, with the balancing acidity that keeps Sauternes from feeling heavy despite its sweetness.
