Benjamin Leroux, Meursault Village 2022 (1x75cl)

Village Meursault is where a lot of people first understand what white Burgundy is about — more body and texture than the leaner villages nearby, without stepping up to premier cru pricing. This is the 2022, still a young vintage.

Take it out of the fridge a few minutes before pouring so it isn't served too cold. Good alongside roast chicken, scallops or anything with a butter sauce, and an easy gift for a wine-drinking friend or a year-end dinner.

Tasting notes

Meursault Chardonnay typically shows ripe citrus and white orchard fruit with a nutty, gently buttery character from barrel ageing, and usually feels rounder on the palate than most Côte de Beaune whites. Young bottles often improve with air.
