Barons de Rothschild 'Concordia' Brut (1x75cl)

Champagne Barons de Rothschild was founded in 2005, when three branches of the Rothschild family — the owners of Lafite, Mouton and the Edmond de Rothschild estates — came together to make champagne under one label for the first time.

The style. Chardonnay-led, which is the house's defining choice. The wines are precise and restrained rather than rich, with a low dosage and long ageing on the lees.

When to drink it. Serve well chilled at 8–10°C. Aperitif, oysters, sashimi, steamed fish, dim sum.

As a gift. The Rothschild name does a lot of work in Hong Kong, and it is attached to a real champagne house here rather than a licensing deal. That combination is unusual at this price.
