Aromes De Pavie 2015 (1x75cl)

Aromes de Pavie is the second wine of Chateau Pavie in Saint-Emilion, on Bordeaux's right bank. Right bank blends are Merlot-led, which usually means a rounder, softer shape than a left bank red — friendlier if the table isn't full of Bordeaux drinkers.

Good with braised dishes, roast pork, mushroom-heavy cooking, or a Sunday dinner that runs long. Also an easy gift for someone who says they find Bordeaux too firm. Decant 30-45 minutes if you can. Free Hong Kong delivery over HK$800, flat HK$80 below that.

Tasting notes

Merlot-led Saint-Emilion typically shows plum and black cherry fruit, cocoa and sweet spice from oak, and rounder softer tannins. Around ten years in, the fruit usually reads a little darker and more savoury.
