Paul Jaboulet Crozes Hermitage Les Jalets 2023 (1x75cl)

Paul Jaboulet Aîné Crozes-Hermitage Les Jalets Rouge 2023 is a Northern Rhône Syrah from the stony terraces of Les Chassis. The official US importer (Kobrand) release sheet, aligned with the Jaboulet house page, gives 100% Syrah (AB Organic) at 13% alcohol (pH 3.69; acidity 3.24 g/L) from vines about 25 years old. Fruit is hand-harvested, sorted and destemmed; maceration lasts about three weeks with daily pump-overs; ageing is 12 months in French oak truncated-cone vats and stainless-steel tanks. The name recalls the glacial “galets” that store daytime heat and release it at night.

Tasting notes

Kobrand describes ruby red colour; notes of plum, fig and cranberry; and a supple finish. Pair with pepper steak or braised stew; serve around 16–18°C.
