LOS VASCOS Los Vascos Cabernet Sauvignon 2022 (1x75cl)

Los Vascos Cabernet Sauvignon 2022 is a Colchagua Valley red from Domaines Barons de Rothschild Lafite’s Chilean estate. The official Lafite technical sheet gives 100% Cabernet Sauvignon at 13.9% alcohol (pH 3.58; total acidity 3.33 g/L). Grapes from historical clay-loam plots on Tosca bedrock were fermented in stainless steel at 25–27°C, macerated 10–15 days with pump-overs, then aged three months in stainless steel for a fruit-driven style. The season mixed moderate rainfall, a cold spring, and a stable warm summer that favoured even ripening.

Tasting notes

The sheet describes a deep ruby colour; an intense nose of raspberry, plum, blackberry and strawberry with black pepper and liquorice; good volume and fine tannins; and a fresh, persistent finish.
