Les Fiefs de Lagrange 2014 (1x75cl)

Les Fiefs de Lagrange 2014 is the second wine of Chateau Lagrange, a Saint-Julien Third Growth (1855). The estate technical sheet for this vintage gives a blend of 52% Cabernet Sauvignon, 41% Merlot and 7% Petit Verdot, matured 13 months in barrel with 20% new oak. Merlot harvest began 25 September; Cabernet Sauvignon ran from 7 to 17 October. Vines for Les Fiefs average around 30–35 years on gravel over clay-limestone in Saint-Julien.

Tasting notes

The estate sheet describes red colour with purple hues, a complex nose, and a generous palate of cherry, blackcurrant, liquorice and pepper with cool roundness and a long finish.
