Lacoste-Borie, Pauillac 2017 (1x75cl)

Lacoste-Borie 2017 is the second wine of Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste in Pauillac. The official estate technical sheet (via Grand-Puy-Lacoste / Bordeaux Tradition) gives a blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 26% Merlot and 9% Cabernet Franc. Harvest ran from 15 to 29 September 2017; fruit is hand-picked with two successive selections before and after destemming, then a long maceration of about three weeks. Ageing is in French oak barrels (45% new) for 14 to 16 months. The production vineyard covers about 58 ha in one block on very deep coarse gravel, with vines averaging about 38 years.
