La Chapelle De Potensac, Medoc 2014 (1x75cl)

La Chapelle de Potensac 2014 is the second wine of Château Potensac in the Médoc, from Domaines Delon (also Léoville Las Cases). The official Domaines Delon 2014 technical sheet gives a blend of 70% Merlot, 27% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Cabernet Franc, at 13.20% alcohol (total acidity 4.03 g H₂SO₄/L; pH 3.55; IPT 66). Harvest ran from 25 September to 16 October 2014. The Potensac vineyard sits on one of the highest points of the northern Médoc, on limestone bedrock under clay-gravel mounds with a high gravel share — a terroir often compared with Saint-Estèphe.

Tasting notes

Early trade tastings described bright red-cherry and currant fruit with fine acidity and a mid-weight, fresh frame suited to near- and medium-term drinking.
