Jane Eyre Yarra Valley Pinot Noir 2019 is a 100% Pinot Noir from Victoria, Australia. UK importer Liberty Wines says Jane Eyre first bottled under her own Australian label in 2012 and also works as a Burgundy micro-negociant. For this Yarra wine, the 2019 factsheet describes a single vineyard in Gruyere with about 30-year-old vines on an east-facing grey clay loam slope; hand-picked fruit fermented with 15-20% whole bunches in French oak barrels (15% new), then aged 12 months before a single racking to tank, filtration and bottling, at 13.5% alcohol.

Tasting notes

The importer sheet describes delicate red berry fruits on the nose continuing onto a slightly dusty palate, with fine powdery tannins and a backbone of natural acidity.
