Chateau Canon La Gaffeliere, St. Emilion 2023 (1x75cl)

Chateau Canon La Gaffeliere 2023 is a Saint-Émilion Premier Grand Cru Classé from Vignobles Comtes von Neipperg. The official estate vintage page gives a blend of 35% Merlot, 45% Cabernet Franc and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, at 13.5% alcohol, organic-certified (FR-BIO-10). Harvest ran from 20 to 29 September 2023 at 35 hl/ha; fermentation 30 days in wooden vats with pneumatic pigeage; ageing 15 months — 75% in oak barrels (40% new) on the lees and 25% in wooden and concrete vats — with no fining; château-bottled mid-May 2025. The 19.5 ha vineyard sits on clay-limestone and clay-sand at the foot of the Saint-Émilion slope.

The estate presents Canon La Gaffelière as classy, well-structured, complex and elegant, with Cabernet ripeness on warm soils adding power and aromatic complexity to Merlot’s opulence.
