Quinta Vale D. Maria LBV Port 2006 (1x75cl)

Quinta Vale D. Maria LBV Port 2006 is a Late Bottled Vintage Port from the Douro. The estate says its Ports come from old Douro vineyards, with traditional varieties such as Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz and Tinta Barroca among others. Grapes are hand-picked and foot-trodden in granite lagares, then fortified with grape spirit to stop fermentation. For the LBV, the estate describes ageing for 4 to 6 years in large-volume vessels such as stainless-steel vats or balseiros before bottling.

Tasting notes

The estate describes its LBV as full-bodied, with intense black-fruit flavours such as blackberry and cassis, plus a hint of black pepper.
