Markus Molitor Saarburger Rausch Riesling Auslese *** 2014 (1x75cl)

This comes from the Saarburger Rausch vineyard in the Saar, the cooler corner of the Mosel region, where Riesling ripens slowly and holds onto its acidity. Auslese means the grapes were picked riper than usual, so expect sweetness with a spine running through it.

Serve it cold from the fridge, in small pours. It works after dinner on its own, alongside blue cheese or a fruit tart, and it's a friendly bottle to bring to a table where not everyone drinks red.
