Macallan Exceptional Singe Cask #3112 (1x70cl)

Single cask means what it says: every bottle here came out of one barrel, with no blending across casks to even things out. One barrel only holds so much, so the run is small by definition, and the cask reference 2019-3112/05 printed on the label is what ties this bottle to that specific barrel.

Because nothing was blended away, a single cask tastes like itself rather than like a house average. Good bottle for someone who likes knowing exactly where their whisky came from.

Tasting notes

Speyside malt usually shows orchard fruit and a warm oak-spice character, and single-cask bottlings typically taste more individual than a blended release. Give it time in the glass.
