Worth saying up front: this is a white. Beaune Greves is much better known for red, so a Chardonnay carrying that site name surprises people who thought they knew the address. Premier Cru and the site names are both printed on the label, including Le Clos Blanc, the named walled parcel.

White Burgundy at Premier Cru level is a dinner-table bottle rather than a casual one. Good choice when you want to bring a white to a meal where everyone else is bringing red.
