The 100% Islay range is Kilchoman's signature idea: the barley is grown on the island, then malted, distilled, matured and bottled there too. Start to finish on Islay, which almost no distillery can claim. This is the 10th Edition, released in 2020.

Islay malts are usually peated, so know your audience — but for a peat drinker, a bottle whose whole story is one island is a far more interesting gift than another familiar label.

Tasting notes

Islay single malt usually brings smoke and a coastal, briny character alongside citrus and cereal sweetness. Neat is the way to start; a few drops of water often lifts the fruit out from under the peat.
