Galatrona Petrolo 2017 (1x75cl)

Galatrona is the wine that made Petrolo's name in Tuscany, and it has become a familiar sight on Hong Kong wine lists for people who want an Italian red with weight to it. The 2017 has settled into a good stretch for drinking now.

Open it for steak, lamb, aged cheese, or a client dinner where you want something less expected than Bordeaux. Decant an hour or two ahead if the evening allows, and it makes a solid gift for a serious drinker.

Tasting notes

Tuscan reds of this style usually show dark fruit, dried herbs and a savoury, slightly earthy character, with firm structure that softens as it opens. Serve around 17-18°C.
