Coudoulet de Beaucastel Rouge Cotes du Rhone AOC 2020 (1x75cl)

A Cotes du Rhone red from the Beaucastel family, 2020 vintage. Southern Rhone blends like this are built on Grenache, Syrah and Mourvedre, and they usually drink warm and savoury rather than polished and oaky — good wine for actual food.

Works with lamb, sausages, braised pork, or a table of dishes where nobody agreed on one main. An everyday bottle that is still respectable enough to bring to a dinner.

Tasting notes

Southern Rhone blends typically show red and black berry fruit, dried herbs, black pepper and a stony, savoury edge, with moderate tannins. Serve around 16C, a short decant helps.
