A new wine introduced from this vintage, as the footprint of land at the excellent quality Château Séraphine inches upwards. Winemaker Charlotte Krajewsi has done an excellent job of teasing out a finely-boned wine with an emphasis on red fruits and violet flowers, and an attractive gun-smoke swirl. You could wait to drink, but it's so charming right now that I wouldn't feel any great need to. Tasted by Jane Anson
L'innocence de Séraphine 2021 Pomerol-Inkily dark to the rim with a nose of cedary, creamed red and black fruits, some distant spice, velvety with a lovely savoury note and just a hint of seriousness behind. On the palate fresh, spiced, exotic black fruits, green spices with cool, substantial supple tannins, less savoury than the nose and with a tight, structured finish.
