Chateau Pape Clement Blanc 2023 (1x75cl)

Chateau Pape Clement Blanc 2023 is a Pessac-Léognan dry white from one of Bordeaux’s oldest Graves classed growths (Bernard Magrez). The estate’s 2023 technical sheet gives a blend of 60% Sauvignon Blanc, 35% Sémillon, 4% Sauvignon Gris and 1% Muscadelle from about 9 ha of Pyrenean clay-gravel at roughly 7,700 vines/ha (vines about 23 years). Harvest ran from 23 August to 7 September after a cold wet winter, mild wet spring and a hot, dry summer with heatwaves; progressive picking and sequential pressing retain the most balanced juices, with ageing across barrels, foudres, concrete and ceramic vessels. Consultants Michel Rolland and Julien Viaud; yield about 48 hl/ha.
